Beltline Urban MURAL PROJECT (BUMP) Road MArriers 2022

Launched in 2017 as the Beltline Urban Murals Project, BUMP Festival has evolved into Calgary’s most expansive public art initiative, reshaping neighbourhoods with cutting-edge installations and progressive public programming. Artist-led and community-powered, BUMP pioneers a new vision for Calgary’s urban spaces, positioning public art as a catalyst for cultural transformation and collective imagination.

PROJECT OUTLINE:
In 2022 Hamburger Hands was contracted by BUMP to paint four double-sided barrier murals, adding a touch of whimsy to the downtown core of Calgary. My goal was to bring vibrant, playful energy to the city’s streets, transforming everyday barriers into pieces of public art that would start some very fun conversations.

MERCHANDISE DESIGN:
As part of the campaign, I conceptualized and designed exclusive stickers based on each unique terpenes logos - these stickers were offered as prizes to lucky participants of social media giveaways!

Throughout this colourful and creative campaign, my collaboration with Spiritleaf was characterized by a harmonious blend of professionalism, creativity, and educational fun! I’m so proud to present this project as a testament to the power of clear communication, open thinking, and strategic design in the world of cannabis advertising.
